About OEF

Oluwafemi Ebenezer Foundation (OEF) is a Nigerian humanitarian and community-impact nonprofit. We provide practical relief, support dignity and help underserved people and communities move towards greater safety, health, learning, opportunity and social connection. Feed Someone is our founding movement and flagship outreach initiative.

About the opportunity

The Social Media and Community Coordinator turns OEF's editorial and programme material into a consistent, engaging online presence. The role coordinates content planning, publishing, audience engagement and performance review across approved social channels.

Who we are looking for

A reliable, creative and self-directed digital communicator who understands content planning, platform conventions and respectful community engagement, and can turn broad priorities into useful content ideas. Strong writing, creativity and judgement matter more than follower count.

Nice to have: Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite or other publishing platforms; social media analytics; Google Analytics; content calendars; and AI-enabled content-planning tools. The ability to learn unfamiliar platforms and adapt to changing social-media practices is valued.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a practical social media content calendar.
  • Adapt approved programme stories, articles and updates for relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate copy, design assets, review and publishing schedules with writers and designers.
  • Monitor comments and messages, respond appropriately and escalate sensitive enquiries.
  • Track content performance and recommend improvements based on audience and platform insights.

Expectations

  • A commitment of 10 hours per week for at least three months, arranged flexibly around agreed publishing priorities.
  • Strong writing, digital communication and audience awareness.
  • Consistent content planning, scheduling and coordination.
  • Good judgement when representing OEF and engaging with online communities.
  • Ability to review performance data and translate it into practical content improvements.
  • Creative initiative to propose timely content ideas, new formats and thoughtful ways to engage OEF's audiences.

Benefits and experience

  • Practical experience coordinating nonprofit social media and online community engagement.
  • Access to modern social-media, collaboration, productivity and AI-enabled tools.
  • Learning resources, practical training and relevant certification opportunities.
  • Professional recognition through verified LinkedIn experience and performance-based references or recommendations.
  • Potential consideration for future paid opportunities based on performance and organisational needs.
