About the opportunity
The Project Manager helps OEF turn organisational priorities into structured, accountable delivery across programmes, communications, grants and internal operations.
Who we are looking for
An organised, proactive and self-directed collaborator who can structure work, coordinate distributed contributors, propose practical improvements and maintain accountability without creating unnecessary process. Experience leading student, community, nonprofit, startup or professional projects is an advantage.
Nice to have: Familiarity with project-management and collaboration platforms such as Notion, Trello, Asana or Jira; Google Workspace; Google Meet or Zoom; and AI-enabled planning or documentation tools. The ability to learn unfamiliar platforms quickly and improve working systems is valued.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, priorities, timelines, ownership and dependencies.
- Coordinate contributors and ensure responsibilities, deadlines and expected outputs remain clear.
- Monitor progress, identify blockers and escalate delivery risks early.
- Document key decisions, action points and project status.
- Strengthen repeatable workflows and delivery practices as the foundation grows.
Expectations
- A commitment of 10 hours per week for at least three months, arranged flexibly around active project priorities.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and cross-team coordination.
- Consistent follow-through on agreed actions, deadlines and contributor updates.
- Clear communication of project status, risks and decisions.
- Practical judgement when balancing structure, urgency and volunteer capacity.
- Ability to take ownership, anticipate delivery problems and improve working systems without requiring constant supervision.
