About OEF

Oluwafemi Ebenezer Foundation (OEF) is a Nigerian humanitarian and community-impact nonprofit. We provide practical relief, support dignity and help underserved people and communities move towards greater safety, health, learning, opportunity and social connection. Feed Someone is our founding movement and flagship outreach initiative.

About the opportunity

The Graphic Designer creates visual materials that strengthen OEF's campaigns, programmes and public communication. The role covers social media graphics, campaign assets, information design, presentations and reusable brand materials.

Who we are looking for

A creative, resourceful and self-directed designer with strong visual judgement, attention to accessibility and the ability to communicate humanitarian stories with dignity. Applicants should be able to think beyond obvious solutions, contribute original ideas and take an approved brief from concept through revision. They should understand core design principles including balance, contrast, hierarchy, alignment, repetition, proportion and effective use of space, and be proficient in at least one modern design platform.

Nice to have: Familiarity with Canva and one or more professional design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW or Figma. Experience with brand systems, image optimisation, presentation design, accessible design or AI-enabled creative tools is an advantage.

Core responsibilities

  • Create campaign, programme, social media and presentation materials from approved briefs.
  • Apply OEF's visual identity consistently across formats and channels.
  • Translate written content into clear, engaging and accessible visual communication.
  • Prepare correctly sized exports and organised editable files for future use.
  • Collaborate with writers and programme contributors throughout review and revision.

Expectations

  • A commitment of 10 hours per week for at least three months, arranged flexibly around agreed design priorities.
  • Reliable communication and realistic delivery estimates for each design brief.
  • Strong command of layout, typography, colour and visual communication.
  • Constructive response to creative direction and revision feedback.
  • Consistent application of OEF's brand identity across all deliverables.
  • Careful selection and use of licensed assets and approved programme imagery.
  • Ability to interpret briefs independently, develop original visual directions, present options and explain design decisions.

Benefits and experience

  • Practical experience producing brand, campaign and communication materials for a growing nonprofit.
  • Access to modern creative, collaboration, productivity and AI-enabled tools.
  • Learning resources, practical training and relevant certification opportunities.
  • Professional recognition through verified LinkedIn experience and performance-based references or recommendations.
  • Potential consideration for future paid opportunities based on performance and organisational needs.
