Research local and international funding opportunities and prepare evidence-led concept notes, proposals and partner briefs.
Oluwafemi Ebenezer Foundation (OEF) is a Nigerian humanitarian and community-impact nonprofit. We provide practical relief, support dignity and help underserved people and communities move towards greater safety, health, learning, opportunity and social connection. Feed Someone is our founding movement and flagship outreach initiative.
The Grant and Research Writer strengthens OEF's ability to identify suitable funding opportunities and prepare credible applications. The role sources both local and international grants, turning programme plans, organisational information and reliable research into clear, persuasive funding materials.
A resourceful, analytical and self-directed researcher and persuasive writer with remote-working experience who can interpret funder requirements, organise complex information, and develop evidence-led applications. Prior experience sourcing or drafting local and international grants is strongly preferred. Applicants must be adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to imparting positive values in others. Professional English writing ability is essential; Hausa language ability is a valuable asset. Readiness to travel for occasional community outreaches in the near future to gain firsthand project context is required.
Nice to have: Familiarity with Google Workspace, grant databases, funding portals, opportunity trackers, CRM tools, and AI-enabled research or drafting tools. Applicants should be able to use AI as a productivity aid while independently checking sources, figures and eligibility information. The ability to learn new platforms quickly is valued.
